Adamah is a ceramics gallery and studio in the Short North Arts District in Columbus, Ohio, dedicated to handcrafted pottery and the artistry of clay. The space serves as both a showcase for unique, wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramic pieces and a hub for creative exploration. Adamah highlights the beauty of functional and decorative pottery, offering a curated selection of work that reflects craftsmanship, texture, and form.

Beyond the gallery, Adamah functions as a working studio, fostering a hands-on approach to ceramics. Whether through collaborations, workshops, or events, the space invites people to connect with clay in a meaningful way. From beginner-friendly experiences to refined artistry, Adamah is a place where creativity is shaped by hand and fired into something lasting.

Founded by Joshua Schottenstein, the space aims to highlight artwork originating from the ground, or Adamah.

“Adamah Gallery is thrilled and honored to host Judi Tavill for a featured exhibition from November 2nd to November 22nd. The opening reception will be held during the Short North Arts District “Gallery Hop” on November 2nd from 4-8pm. Light refreshments will be provided.

Judi Tavill lives and works in Rumson, NJ. Tavill accesses the malleable, subtractive and additive qualities of clay as she couples graphite drawing with sculptural form. This show is a selection of current work from her “Entanglement” series. These biomorphic abstractions reference our interconnectedness and the elaborate networks that define our complex world while inviting contemplation and reflection upon the part we play in it.
